TNNY 2018 - End of the Line
Less than 48 hours after moving to New York City, I had already booked my first gig! I had the privilege of playing an original 10-minute musical for Theatre Now New York's annual festival Sound Bites. The show is called End of the Line, with music by Kristen Rea, lyrics by Chris Edgar, and book by Howard Ho. Direction/choreography by Kristen Rea, Music Direction by Meggan Herod.
Senior Recital 2017
In November 2017, I held one of my two senior recitals in Salmon Recital Hall at the Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music where I completed my undergraduate degrees. I created a lecture-recital designed around the idea that American musical theatre is consistently reacting to contemporary issues. Performing for this packed house were some amazing friends of mine: Parker Apple, Mckenna Bisaha, Yllary Cajahuaringa, Lucy Franco, Caleb Green, Danny Kawadri, Jeremiah Lussier, Brennan Meier, Caleb Price, Jordan Schneider, Mary Thomas, and Joshua Wright. Also performing with me were the incomparable Cole Castorina (drums/percussion) and Dr. Louise Thomas (piano). Below are some clips from this performance.
Before I Lose My Mind (from The Danger Year) - Chance-a-Thon 2017
Last spring I got to collaborate with Erika C. Miller and Jocelyn A. Brown on their famed double set at The Chance Theater's annual fundraiser alongside Jon Hyrkas (drums). It was a blast to get to work with these two women on some hilarious and tender songs, alongside their guest artists Alex Bueno, Erika C. Miller, Rachel Oliveros-Catalano, Jocelyn A. Brown, Rob Foran, Darryl Hovis, and Karen Webster. Below is a trio written by Georgia Stitt sung by Rachel, Erika, and Jocelyn.
Billy Joel Medley - Bella Musica 2015
This summer I spent three months in beautiful Lake Leelanau, Michigan, collaborating on a dinner theater at the Bella Fortuna restaurant. I played much of the music and had the opportunity to write a few of the numbers, and use some of my own arrangements including a medley of Billy Joel songs I had been working on for the past few months. This video is myself playing piano and Monica Spencer singing "Climbing Uphill" from The Last Five Years, followed by myself, Andrew Sloan, and Stewart Birley singing the Billy Joel Medley.
Yuki no Hana - The Young Americans Japan Tour Spring 2015
I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to write this arrangement of "Yuki no Hana" by Mika Nakashima for The Young Americans Japan Spring Tour 2015. The song is about sharing the arrival of spring with the ones you love. Enjoy!
